CHUWI recently released a new laptop model CHUWI LapBook Pro into their collection priced at about $299 and this time they seem to be focusing not just on the sheer hardware specs, but the actual design and more importantly the display. The new display design with 90% screen-to-body ratio created an almost borderless display with ultra narrow bezels.
Creating such “full view” design resembling the great Huawei MateBook X Pro is of course not a cheap endevour and according to CHUWI it raised the cost by about 30%. But it’s certainly worth it, because now they can put the 14,1-inch fully laminated IPS FHD screen into the body with dimensions of the 13″ laptop. The magnesium alloy body of course helps too, thickness is down to just 0,58cm and with 1470g of weight it’s not heavy at all.

And of course also the hardware specs are nothing to scoff at with Intel Gemini Lake N4100 quad-core processor, 9th gen Intel Graphics, 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM, 64 GB eMMC memory + M.2 SSD disk slot, dual band Wi-Fi, 37,24Wh battery and of course the licenced Windows 10 system.
