Xiaomi’s Mi MIX 3 was amongst the very few phones launched last year with the slider design. It boasts a big bezel-less screen, a glossy metal back, and some flagship specs. However, it didn’t manage to escape the confines of The Great Wall. Now, it’s finally happening. The Mi MIX 3 will be official in Malaysia on January 12.
Gizchina News of the week
Xiaomi teased the handset on its official Facebook handle with the said date and there’s no mention of price. Obviously, that’s the only piece of info left to be uncovered as all else regarding the handset is known. The news comes as the Mi MIX 3 also goes official in Europe tomorrow for a price tag of €549. It will be made available in Spain on January 8th and Italy on January 9th. This excites us as it could be an indication of an Indian debut as well. Xiaomi has not announced a MIX device since it introduced the MIX 2 in India.
It’s likely that this will not be the 5G-capable version of the Mi MIX 3 that boasts the Snapdragon 855. That should come at a later date with a bigger price tag.
