After the short break for the Christmas holidays, the WhatsApp team has returned to work to introduce an important innovation for the Beta version of its application. More specifically, in the recent weeks, developers have been working to implement different in-app authentication procedures to make our conversations more secure.
With the version 2.19.3 of WhatsApp Beta, in fact, we start the long journey that will also bring an authentication system (optional) with fingerprint on Android. Once again to protect our privacy, this new authentication function will allow us to secure our chat and make them visible only once we have placed our finger on the appropriate sensor. In addition, this feature will be available on all smartphones with minimum version of Android Marshmallow and fingerprint recognition sensor. Here are some screenshots published by WABetaInfo:

Unfortunately, this function is currently disabled on the server side, so not visible and not present when the new beta is received. The development team seems not yet ready to release it and it appears to be available only for a small circle of people. Its effective date of introduction is not known and probably this will happen without a specific update.
Together with the authentication function, the new interface for sending audio files also seems to be still disabled on the server side. This function will introduce several highly anticipated functional innovations, such as the audio preview and the sending of 30 audio messages simultaneously.
