Xiaomi cements Redmi Independency, unveils a new Brand logo

Chinese Smartphones maker Xiaomi a while ago announced its decision to spin off a new brand from its Redmi series, which essentially now makes its Redmi series an independent or a sub-brand if you like. Now, further cementing the brand’s new status, Xiaomi has today unveiled a Redmi brand logo and Identity in readiness of its actual take off.

Unveiled by CEO Lei Jun, the new Redmi logo is a simple and minimalistic one –  that simply says “Redmi by Xiaomi”, so its evident that Xiaomi will still be in charge of future Redmi Phones. The latest move brings the total number of brands under Xiaomi to three – namely the “flagship killers” Poco brand, the Black Shark gaming brand and now the value for money Redmi brand.
