Gizchina News of the week
Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun, said that with the independence of Redmi, the Mi brand can now focus on flagship smartphone with higher prices. The more features you include in a smartphone, the higher the price. Thus Xiaomi has been very conservative when it comes to loading its smartphone with top-notch features. However, Redmi should be able to make cheaper flagships with streamlined features while the Mi series goes all out with what the industry has to offer.
No doubt, Redmi has started well with the Redmi Note 7 which was launched for less than $150 and the company is already preparing the Redmi Note 7 Pro with a better chip and a Sony 48MP sensor.
