Chinese phone company Vivo has ditched its old brand color and font for a new one that will become mainstream in due course. To be precise, the brand is dropping the old Pantone 2925 C logo for the Pantone Pantone 2386 logo with a new font.
While that appears not too impressive, the new font is in a way different from the old one, it’s rounder and vertically compressed. You can fist your eyes on the old and the new logo fonts that will henceforth appear on your cherished VIVO phones below.
The brand said the new logo will first be exclusive to the Chinese market before it will extend to devices meant for other markets before the end of March.
Gizchina News of the week
Speaking of the first phones that will get the new logo font, VIVO is all set to unveil a unique “waterdrop” phone in China on January 24, and based on the teaser released so far, that particular device might just be the first to bear the new logo font.
Talking of the Unique device, rumors are rife that it will be dubbed the VIVO apex 2019. The device is rumored to come with a design that no one has ever conceived. Whatever that means, the firm wowed the world back in 2018 with its VIVO NEX, so we are quite hopeful this isn’t just a marketing gimmick.
