For quite some months now, there’s been so much buzz about the Samsungs upcoming Galaxy S10 smartphone series. Apart from adopting Samsungs new Infinity O-display, various leaks have indicated that the series might be ditching the fingerprint scanner on the rear for an in-screen sensor.
And while the Korean giant hasn’t really denied or confirm the use of the in-display sensor, a new revelation courtesy of the guys at XDA forum appears to have given us some sort of succor.

On dissecting and properly analyzing the Samsung Pay app source code, the XDA team reportedly found two very explicit codes that made references to an in-display fingerprint scanner—and one reference directly mentions the Galaxy S10’s code-name – Beyond. Both codes are payment authentication related codes, that if when implemented checks if the device hosting the Samsung Pay app has an in-display fingerprint scanner and if so, it’ll lift the payment dialog box a bit higher to make room for the in-display fingerprint icon.
