Honor 8X EMUI 9 (Android Pie) beta is now open

Honor 8X

Good news for Honor 8X owners, in the past few hours, in fact, the Chinese producer has announced on the official forum of the company that a public beta phase has been opened to preview the update to EMUI 9 with Android 9 Pie for the Honor 8X.

At the moment it has not yet been unveiled a precise date regarding the release of the stable update to Android 9 Pie for phone (smartphone sold internationally with the name of HONOR View 10 Lite) but the opening of the beta test phase public seems to suggest that the wait is not going to be too long.

Basically, before releasing the update globally, the manufacturer wants to perform a test with as many people as possible, to discover any common bugs.

Gizchina News of the week

It is worth to mention that yesterday, Huawei’s Honor brand has unveiled the Honor View 20 in Paris for the international market. It is a rebadged Honor V20 that was first launched in China last December, so it features the same design and internals. The device is without a doubt the first true flagship device of the year that boasts of some few selling points – including a 48-megapixel rear camera, a hole-punch display that is gradually proving to be the antidotes to the iPhone X-esque notch, and a time-of-flight (TOF) sensor which can help map 3D objects in the real world.
