The Nokia 5 was released back in 2017 as part of Nokia’s resurgence by the hands of HMD Global. The handset came with very modest specs including a Snapdragon 430 and 2GB of RAM. The smartphone originally came with Android 7.1 Nougat, and now is receiving the Android 9 Pie.
The 5.2-inch mid-range smartphone isn’t a groundbreaking smartphone but you have to respect its software support. HMD Global managed to deliver Android 8.0, 8.1, and now the 9.0 goodies are arriving for the Nokia handset. Worth noting that the Nokia 5 came before HMD jump in the Android One bandwagon.
