Apple Posts Chinese New Year Film Shot on iPhone XS

iPhone XS and XS Max iOS

In commemoration of Chinese New Year, which falls on Feb. 5, Apple has posted to its YouTube channel a special “Shot on iPhone” short film created by renowned director and screenwriter Jia Zhangke.

“The Bucket” is not the film of the year, but the story is touching, and this is a new show of strength to prove that the iPhone XS now allows to shoot movies with an impressive cinematographic rendering. Moreover, we regret that Apple does not provide more technical details on the shooting of director Jia Zhangke, which seems nonetheless assisted by amount of material (lights, poles, stabilization …).
