Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, & LG will all release foldable smartphones this year

Many polls across tech websites have tipped the foldable display to be a trend in 2019. As the smartphone market becomes saturated and product differentiation becomes smaller, manufacturers are beginning to see foldable phones as the next generation of mobile phones. However, the cost of these smartphones and the need for these devices has been a stumbling block to its development.

As at last year, foldable mobile phones were still in its early stages of development and manufacturers needed to continue to improve the design. Due to the maturity of the supply chain, this year’s foldable mobile phones are in the testing stage.
