For the Chinese Oneplus, the Oneplus 6T is unarguably its most accomplished smartphone ever, boasting of a 3700 upgraded battery that should easily last a full day without entering power saving mode. Well, what should ordinarily last a whole day is turning out to lasting just a few hours now, as a couple of OnepLus 6T users have taken to the popular REDDIT to express their displeasure with the battery tucked inside their units of the Oneplus 6T.

First reported by UK express, a number of OnePlus 6T users complains of general battery drain issues. The problem began a few days back, and while a user found a workaround about the issue, others have tried to no avail.

Explaining the problem, one 6T owner said: “So for the past day or so my 6T’s battery has suddenly started draining from 80 percent extremely fast.

“If I had to guess I’d say my battery life was at least halved all of a sudden and I’m not even putting it through heavy workloads or anything. Various attempts were made at resolving the issue all to no avail.

In response, a huge number of OnePlus 6T users on the Forum reported having similar issues.

Notable among them is a user who only didn’t have a battery drain problem, but also faced with severe overheating. His unit was only about a week old when the issue occurred, but a simple resting did the magic.

Oneplus has yet to officially respond to the issue, so we advise you resort to resetting your device when faced with a similar problem or you tolerate the issue until a possible update is made available.
