Yesterday, Lu Weibing, vice president of Xiaomi Group and general manager of Redmi brand organized a poll for Redmi fans asking: “What factors/functions do you care most when buying mobile phones for your parents?” The voting results show that big batteries and affordability is the most important demand for the majority of Redmi users. Wang Teng, product director of Xiaomi, revealed that Lu Weibing is doing a research for the next Redmi mobile phone thus this poll result will be considered for the development of the next Redmi smartphone.
Gizchina News of the week
Regrettably, Lu Weibing and Wang Teng did not reveal the details of the upcoming Redmi device. We know that Redmi is working on the Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi 7. The Redmi Note 7 Pro is equipped with a 48-megapixel ultra-clear camera (Sony IMX586) and it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 mobile platform.
As of now, details on the Redmi 7 are not clear but Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s CEO said that the use of Snapdragon 855 SoC on a Redmi Phone has begun research and development. However, he did not disclose the specific release time.
Please make a redmi 7 under 71mm wide and with a good soc…
Hoping to see the redmi 7 pro with a 4000mah battery, SD 660, and the 48mp Samsung sensor… basically the redmi note 7 with a 5.8 inch screen. Would really like to see it with the sd675 and 48mp Sony sensor, but I highly doubt that.
Well, Meizu said, the samsung 48 mp sensor is faster,
i read it the sd 675 dsp feature is not good as the sd710, is that true?
isp module for pictures, yes and network on the sd710 is faster as well, the sd675 is better only on performance CPU and GPU which means you will get better PUBG gameplay 🙂
4000 its old…..huge means more than 5500
Really ? People want to last their smartphone more than 1 day ? What a surprise ! LOL
A redmi max with 5500, slim bezelles and stereo speakers, plus 48 mp Sony camera.
I’ve ALWAYS been in favour of developers focusing on battery power. Never mind bezels or full screen because they’re only good if there’s enough power in your phone. If the phone becomes a couple of mm thicker; so be it! A dead battery is a dead phone!
