There have been unconfirmed reports about an upcoming Xiaomi smartphone dubbed the Xiaomi Mi 9. Although the company has yet to confirm details about the product, two fresh and new Xiaomi smartphones have just cleared China’s Compulsory Certificate (3C) adding weight to the reports.
The newly certified device has the model number M1902F1T/A, and it appears to be the codename for the said Mi 9, given that the Mi 8 from last year had a similar model number – 8M1803E1T/A. The exact name and details of the said device are not know, however, the few details on the 3C database suggest the device will arrive as a high-end smartphone from the company that could come shipped with a MDY-08-ES charger delivering up to 27W fast charging.

Further giving weight to the rumored Mi 9, Xiaomis CEO when asked a while ago if “ Xiaomi Mi 9 have a 24W or higher charging power?”. Lei Jun replied, “Xiaomi Mi 9 will come with a better charging power”. So the M1902F1T/A most likely could be the Xiaomi Mi 9.
Earlier renders suggest the Mi 9 could adopt the water drop notch and not the hole punch display. It is expected to flaunt a 6.4” diagonal with the Snapdragon 855 chipset under the hood.
