Large-screen smartphones have been popular since their emergence. Apart from the enormous screen, they also come with a large capacity battery. They are something between the regular-sized smartphones and small-sized tablets. That’s why they are called phablets. Almost all smartphone makers have a certain model that sports similar features. As for Xiaomi, it’s the Max series. This year, the company will launch the fourth generation Xiaomi Mi Max 4. Moreover, in addition to the original Mi Max 4, there also will be the Mi Max 4 Pro. Today, we have got another rumor concerning these handsets.
According to the news coming our way from the Indian media, the Xiaomi Mi Max 4 and Mi Max 4 Pro will sport a 7.2-inch full-screen design, while the fuselage will use a double glass material, and the display will be also covered with the fifth generation Corning Gorilla Glass.

As you see, some of its key features will be significantly improved. As for today, another source disclosed the Xiaomi Mi Max 4 series smartphones will use a dual-camera on the back, of which the main camera will be using the Samsung ISOCELL GM1 48MP sensor. Originally, this lens appeared on the Redmi Note 7. So we know it competes with Sony IMX586 sensor. Moreover, the Mi Max 4 will support super night scene mode, which came to the Redmi Note 7 after the OTA update.
The rest of the features include the 5800mAh battery supporting 18W fast charge function, and it should run on MIUI11.
It’s reported the main (or the only) difference between the Xiaomi Mi Max 4 and the Xiaomi Mi Max 4 Pro is going to be the processor. The former one should be packed with the Snapdragon 660 chip (we guess it’ll be the full-blooded variant), while the Mi Max 4 Pro will sport a Snapdragon 675. The Pro version is also said to come with a 20MP+48MP dual-camera, of which the main camera will use the Sony IMX586 lens. Plus, this variant will support a built-in fingerprint recognition mode.
The same source claims the Xiaomi Mi Max 4’s price will be consistent with last year’s products. But the price of the Xiaomi Mi Max 4 Pro may exceed the 2000 yuan ($296) mark.
