As every year, in 2019 we will see new emojis and the people of Unicode and Emojipedia have revealed the 230 new emojis that will arrive as part of Unicode 12.0. Among the novelties we find new emoji for lazy, otter, ice cube, drop of blood, waffle and many more.
You will also find a new emoji with a yawning face, a pinch in hand, a flamenco, a wheelchair, onion and garlic, a snorkel equipment, a skunk, a band-aid, a chair and a banjo. In the video below, you can see most of them.

The update also adds more than a dozen emoji that represent members of the Deaf and Blind communities and people with disabilities. The characters, which were proposed last year by Apple, include people in manual and mechanized wheelchairs, prosthetic limbs, and service dogs. Unicode also added four additional symbols that weren’t in Apple’s original proposal: standalone characters for probing cane, mechanized and manual wheelchairs, as well as a gender-inclusive “deaf person” emoji.
Unicode says that most manufacturers will release the Unicode 12.0 update in September or October, but some may arrive earlier, depending on the manufacturer.
