Shenzhen-based smartphone manufacturer – Realme has been making waves in the Indian smartphones market in the past few months. Oppo spin-off entered India as an online-exclusive brand and has since sold phones on Amazon India and Flipkart initially before partnering with Reliance stores that include over 1300 Reliance Digital and My Jio stores for offline sales of its smartphones.
Now, the brand is further leveraging on it acceptability in the country as it has now announced its plans to properly enter India’s offline market by setting up exclusive retail stores in the second half of 2019. This the company said will afford would be buyers hands-on experience of the entire portfolio of its entire smartphones lineup.

“In the second half of the year, we would open exclusive stores in India where the prospective buyers can get a hands-on experience of the entire portfolio of Realme devices that would include accessories as well as smartphones,” Madhav Sheth, Chief Executive Officer, Realme India, told IANS.
With its smartphones initially available offline via Reliance stores, Realme now plans to collaborate with 20,000 multi-brand retail outlets across 150 cities in the country. Expectedly, the company said it is working on updating its smartphones series with new models this year. The rumored Realme A1 is expected to be its first major release this year, though the company has yet to confirm that.
