Motorola Moto G4 Plus is receiving Android 8.1 Oreo in stable version

It’s official, the update to Android 8.1 Oreo is being released for the Motorola Moto G4 Plus. During the month of September 2017, Motorola has updated most of its devices to Android 8.0 Oreo, excluding the Moto G4 Plus and the Moto G4. The company had asked the users of the two smartphones to be patient, stating that this was “an unplanned update”. Today, more than a year later, users of the Plus version are being satisfied.

The update to Android 8.1 Oreo, which is being released this morning, also brings with it the security patches updated to 1 December 2018 on the Motorola Moto G4 Plus. We remind you that after updating, it will no longer be possible to go back to the previous version of Android.

At the moment, however, you do not know what will be the fate of the Motorola Moto G4, although most likely the Android 8.1 Oreo update is also ready for this device and will be released soon.

The release phase of the stable version of Android 8.1 Oreo for the Motorola Moto G4 Plus has began this morning in the US, so it is likely that you will have to wait a while before receiving it.
