Supposed LG G8 ThinQ Canadian pricing leaks

LG mobile will in about two weeks time announce the next in line in its G series of smartphone – dubbed the LG G8 ThinQ. We haven’t had many leaks of the device compared to its rival Galaxy S10, but we do know a few things about the upcoming Galaxy S10 contender, as the company in its usual manner is already drip-feeding us with some relevant info regarding the device, even as we approach the launch date.

The Korean tech firm very recently confirmed that the next G series phone will come as the LG G8 ThinQ, and it’ll include a time-of-flight sensor as part of its front-facing camera array. While it definitely isn’t the first to use the ToF sensor, the feature in addition with the Snapdragon 855 chipset and inclusion of a fairly larger battery capacity could mean the upcoming LG G8 ThinQ isn’t an affordable device.

Although there is no official hint on what the device might cost, the latest information about the phone that just surfaced from Canada appears to have affirmed our assertion. A Reddit user probably from that part of the World has alleged that the LG G8 THinQ with 128 GB storage will cost CAD1,199/over $900.

ToF sensor and pricing aside, LG G8 ThinQ unveiling invite hints at a new gesture control feature., while previous leaks point at a tall notched screen, dual horizontal camera on the back with a fingerprint scanner below. LG will formally unwrap the G8 ThinQ alongside its first 5G phone later this month at the MWC19 in Barcelona.
