The Instagram team is testing internally a Web version of Direct messages that should allow users to chat without the need to take advantage of the application of this popular social network.
When it is made available to all users, this system will allow you to exchange messages on Direct via PC, Mac or via a mobile web browser.
A web version of Instagram Direct could make this solution a more complete alternative to SMS and increase the popularity of this social network, giving rise to possible new uses.

This new feature could also pave the way for a unified chat that the Facebook team would have in mind for Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram Direct, so as to create a single infrastructure.
According to Jane Manchun Wong, the service should use the URL Instagram.com/direct/ and should be available via a direct arrow icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
To learn more we will have to wait for official information from the social network team.
