HOMTOM brand has certainly no shortage of interesting budget models, but today they are officially adding one more into the fold. And this new one is a a slightly toned down version of the S99 so let’s say hello to the shiny new HOMTOM S99i. Most of the specs are kept in placem, but there are some major differences to go through too.
HOMTOM S99i is also packing the 5,5-inch 18:9 HD+ resolution incell display, but the main change comes with the less powerful quad-core processor MT6739WW, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. But it’s certainly a good thing then it’s also keeping the big 6200 mAh battery capacity. The phone can also offer 13MP+2MP rear cameras, 5MP front selfie shooter, dual SIM support, fingeprint scanner, face unlock tech, OTG and also upgraded system to Android 8.1 Oreo instead of the bare Android 8.0.

We don’t know yet the exact release date and pricing for the new HOMTOM S99i, but surely it will be even more affordable than the already cheap S99. And it’s quite likely we will be able to see the new phone model presented on the MWC 2019, because the makers will be of course there, specifically in the booth 7J17.
