Galaxy M30 with triple rear cameras confirmed for Feb 27 launch

To recall, Samsung unveiled the new Galaxy M series in India last month in a bid to wage war against Chinese rivals like Xiaomi in the mid-range market. It isn’t even up to a month since the first two Galaxy M devices arrived, and we are hearing of the imminent launch of a new entrant into the series – the Galaxy M30.

The Galaxy M30 has been in the news for a couple of weeks now, giving us a pretty good idea of what to expect, but we never thought it could be arriving soon. Samsung is all now set to unveil the device on February 27 at 6 pm as hinted by a teaser on Twitter. The teaser makes no reference to a launch venue, perhaps the unveiling will be silently lunch in India.

The launch teaser also makes no reference to the device’s specs, however, does suggest the device will highlight a triple rear camera setup as hinted by the hashtag #IM3XPOWERED. The teaser also suggests the Galaxy M30 will flaunt an edge-to-edge display, while the rear has a fingerprint scanner. The display is said to be 6.38-inch Super AMOLED Infinity V display with a tiny notch at the top, while it is tipped to use the same SoC and battery size found on the M20  – the Exynos 7904 processor up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage and a 5000mAh battery.

We are not sure what price tag the device will attract, but reports have it that it could start at about  Rs. 15,000/ $210 for the base variant making it one of the most affordable phones with a triple rear camera setup.
