New rumours coming in from China suggest that Apple could launch a Red colour iPhone XS/XS Max in the country by the end of this month. According to reports from some sources, the info has come via an insider from Apple’s supply chain, so this is a likely possibility. Currently, Space Gray, silver, and gold iterations of the premium Apple smartphones are available in China.
It’s also worth noting that the new Red colour will not be pushed under the PRODUCT(RED) initiative that Apple does for charities. Instead, it will be a more regular version such as the Red iPhone 8/7 which also didn’t carry the branding.

This is the first rumour so readers should take it with a fair share of scepticism. But this does raise questions of a PRODUCT(RED) version for other countries of which there are no indications as of now from Apple. The iPhone maker is in hot soup currently because of a rift with Qualcomm that saw iPhone sales banned in China recently.
Meanwhile, on the global stage, Apple has been under pressure this year with sales of the XR not going as well as expected for the smartphone maker. Analysts like Ming-Chi Kuo have cut expectations for the company but forecast a revival of sales in the second quarter of the year for the US tech giant.
