Though Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy Fold unpacked event is all that is stealing the headlines right now, the event in a matter of hours could soon get behind us, after which we would be faced with the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona where a barrage of phone launches are expected. A whole lot of smartphones makers and tech giants already confirmed their attendance via official invites. Lenovo – the parent company of Motorola is also planning something big for the conference, as it rolled out its MWC19 event teaser earlier today, for the launch of the Lenovo Z6 PRO.
Vice president of Lenovo Group and the head of Lenovo mobile phone released the teaser on Weibo earlier today with the caption “Hola Barcelona (Hello, Barcelona).” The teaser also has the Lenovo Z6 Pro hashtag which suggests the company will be unveiling the Z6 PRO at its Barcelona event.
Gizchina News of the week
Though details are sparse, the invite a circle of ripples which could be hinting at a Lenovo Z6 Pro with a fingerprint scanner under the display. Perhaps the Lenovo Z6 Pro will come as the real follow up to the Lenovo Z5s and Lenovo Z5 Pro GT which were announced about three months ago. The device combined the in-display fingerprint scanner with a slider display from the regular Z5 Pro, which allows the device to reach a jaw-dropping 95% screen-to-body ratio.
We are not sure if Lenovo will still adopt the mechanical slider mechanism for the Lenovo Z6 Pro, given that there is the option to adopt the hole-punch display that involves a hole in the display housing the front-facing camera.
