Huawei is arguably one of the few industry front runners when it comes to innovativeness. The Chinese firm back in 2018 released the Huawei P20 Pro featuring a triple camera setup and a gradient color patterns which has become mainstream now. Although it looks as if we might soon get smartphones with up to 5 camera lenses, Huawei appears to be planning a device with better camera design.
The firm is clearly hard at work on the next iteration of its P series device – the Huawei P30 series. The firm earlier this week confirmed speculations that have been going about the web when it released a video teasing a Paris launch event where it is widely expected to officially unveil the Huawei P30, P30 Pro, and Huawei P330 lite.
Just hours after that teaser was uncovered, more information about the upcoming device is beginning to surface thereby giving us a clear picture of what Huawei’s next device will bring to bear. First off, we now know that the device will come with some design upgrades over the P20.
Gizchina News of the week
The latest bit of information comes courtesy of Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei’s consumer business group who shared some camera sample of a yet to be announced device. The CEO took a shot of the moon and shared the image on Weibo to celebrate the Lantern Festival. That isn’t what is interesting though, the camera sample has some watermark which he attempted to conceal, but failed or intentionally left it obscured.
The sample has the “Leica quad camera”, stamp on it, while the obscured word in the first line is perhaps the Huawei P30 Pro given that Huawei has no phone in the market with Quad camera. The latest revelation confirms previous reports which say the Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 pro will feature AMOLED screens with 1080 x 2340 resolutions, a triple-lens camera on the Huawei P30, and a quad-lens camera. The phones are also sure to use Googles latest OS, as well as Huawei’s new Kirin 980 chipset, which made its debut on the Huawei Mate 20 range.
