Today, the vice president of Xiaomi Group and general manager of Redmi brand, Lu Weibing, announced that the Redmi Note 7 Pro will be released next week in China. Some netizens asked Lu Weibing how they would choose between the Xiaomi Mi 9 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro. He gave a simple reply “Your budget will help you choose – 2000 Yuan ($298) or less will go for Redmi Note 7 Pro, 2000 Yuan ($298) or more will go for Xiaomi Mi 8 and 3000 Yuan ($446) or more will get Xiaomi Mi 9”
Looking at general manager’s response, the Note 7 Pro is priced at less than 2,000 yuan ($298) and considering that the Redmi 7 has a 999 Yuan ($148) starting price, it is most likely that the Note 7 Pro’s starting price will be as low as 1599 Yuan ($238).
