After checking out the smallest and most affordable S10 series phone of 2019 – the Galaxy S10e, we move on to the slightly bigger brother, the Samsung Galaxy S10.
Samsung’s Galaxy S10 phone comes with a large 6.1-inch display encased in a small and thin body. The screen is – obviously – one of the best ones around, it uses Samsung AMOLED tech, it’s extra sharp at QHD+ resolution and very bright as well.
Bezels around the display are quite thin on the side (curved) with the bottom one looking slightly thicker, while the top one is still slimmer than ever. The S10 also packs a new under display fingerprint scanner. We weren’t able to test it out in a demo as the software isn’t final yet though.
Samsung Galaxy S10 Hands-On from MWC 2019
As you probably already know, the Samsung Galaxy S10 is powered by the beastly Snapdragon 855 CPU along with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 512GB of internal storage.
Gizchina News of the week
The big upgrade over the previous S series and the S10e is in the camera department. The Samsung Galaxy S10 does indeed come with three rear cameras; there’s a main 12 MP with wide lens, a 12MP shooter with telephoto 2x optics and a 16 MP sensor paired with an ultra-wide lens.
On the front, as you can see, there’s a camera inside the display. This is 10 MP in resolution and it features f/1.9 aperture and Dual Pixel PDAF.
Samsung’s S10 is powered by an averagely sized 3400mAh capacity battery which can be charged wirelessly and up to 15W. Plus it can charge other smartphones using the same tech at up to 9W.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 is yet another quality phone from the Korean tech giant. Its build quality is as good as ever, whether that’s worth the price bump (now costs over $999) is really up to the final users.
