Multiple leaks predating the MWC19 made sure we were not left in the dark. Smartphones that can connect with the ultra-fast 5G network are rolling in in droves. Samsung kicked started it back at its event in Barcelona, Huawei followed suit with its gorgeous Mate X, LG followed closely with the V50 THinQ, and now troubled ZTE is joining the crew with its own 5G enabled smartphone – the ZTE Axon 10 pro.
Gizchina News of the week
The ZTE Axon 10 Pro is a flagship phone by all indications, but the maker has yet to reveal the devices full specs, pricing as well as the rollout detail. The Chinese firm press release suggests the device will get a Snapdragon 855 processor coupled with the SDX50 5G modem, capable of reaching a peak download speeds of up to 2Gbps., triple rear camera with AI (a wide-angle camera, a standard lens, and a third telephoto camera), and a fingerprint scanner embedded in its screen, while it gets a 20-megapixel camera.
The design is quite impressive, with a rear camera setup that aligns vertically with the AXON and 5G logo on the one side, while the display runs from edge-to-edge with a water-drop type notch on top.
While the firm has revealed the ZTE AXON 10 pro full specs, it did say the device will hit the shelves in China and Europe later in the “first half” of 2019.
