Samsung Galaxy A30 and A50 arrive in India, starts at $240

First launched earlier this week during MWC 2019, Samsung mobile has today introduced the Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50 smartphones to the India market. These are the first of the Galaxy A-series to sports Samsung’s Infinity U display, the company’s own Exynos chips and a premium looking 3D Glasstic design.

The Galaxy A50 – the most premium of the A-series flaunts a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, u type notch, minimal bezels, and under its hood is Samsung’s  Exynos 9610 octa-core 2.3 GHz processor with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. It has a tri-camera setup and a fingerprint sensor on the rear, while it is powered by a 4000mAh battery.

The Galaxy A30, on the other hand, sits in between the Galaxy A50 and Galaxy A10. It is more or less a watered-down variant of the A50 flaunting similar 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and Infinity U type notch. Under its hood is the Exynos 7904 octa-core 1.8 GHz chipset with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. Unlike the A50 with a triple camera setup, the A30 gets a dual rear camera, while battery size remains at 4000mAh.

Both devices will go on sale from March 2nd  at $240/Rs 16,990 for the A30 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, while the A50 will reach the stores at $280/Rs 19,990 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB option, while the 6GB RAM variant is priced at $332/Rs 22,990.
