The Xiaomi-backed Black Shark has received global attention for its gaming devices. The successor to its current flagship line, the Black Shark 2 is anticipated to launch soon. Recently certification and a leaked photo appeared online of the purported device. We now have a better understanding of what to expect.
Previous leaks confirmed that the Black Shark 2 has been 3C certified and will support 27 Watt fast charge. New details confirm these leaks. It also seems to maintain the signature style used by their present phones. The main difference being the lack of the fingerprint scanner.
CEO Wu Shimin, took to social media to tease new details of the upcoming device. Quoting the launch of the iQoo device he said that its regrettable that the iQoo device is very similar to the Black Shark 2 in terms of specifications but he still expects their device to stand out.

Chinese agency Digital chat station (who previously leaked info on display and certification) suggests what to expect from the device based on the CEO’s comment and leaks from many sources.
A few specifications that could probably make up the new device:
- A DC dimming OLED display.
- A thin chin by using COF (chip on film) technology. Less than 5mm.
- Snapdragon 855 with liquid cooling.
- Dual Speakers.
- Pressure feedback vibrator.
- An in-display or side mounted finger print scanner.
- upto 12GB of RAM.
Seeing all the new releases recently, BlackShark needs to either hurry or launch their device at a very affordable price to keep up with the competition. And with the company hoping to expand internationally, We expect an official announcement soon.
