Days after it made headlines with the launch of the Foldable Mate X at the MWC19, Huawei has today refreshed its Y series of smartphones with the release of the entry-level Huawei Y6 (2019) and successor to last years Huawei Y6 2018. Similar to the Huawei Y6 Pro (2019), the 2019 iteration of the Huawei Y6 gets a textured leather finish at the back of the Amber Brown variant while the Saphire Blue and Midnight Black models come with a metal back panel.

Besides the back panel, the Y6 (2019) features a slightly smaller screen size with a 6.09-inch HD+ display with TÜV Rheinland certification and blocks blue light which could be harmful to the eyes. Under the hood, the device gets the same Helio A22 SoC, but 2 GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
Everything else remains the same including a single 13 MP rear camera, an 8 MP selfie camera, a 3,020mAh battery while it boots Android Pie-based EMUI 9 out of the box. Huawei has yet to reveal the Y6 (2019) pricing and roll out details.
