This message by Shen Yiren can be seen from different dimensions. The VP of Oppo may just be trying to taunt Xiaomi, reminding the company that it is not about releasing a flagship smartphone, it’s also about making it available for all those who want to have a feel of the device.
In order to make this smartphone available for potential buyers, Xiaomi’s President, Lin Bin, had to personally supervise the production process of this device. In addition, Xiaomi activated two-weekend sales which took place today at 12:00 noon and 20:00. However, these sales did not make much impact as the smartphone also sold out swiftly. The second round of sales for the Xiaomi Mi 9 will take place on March 5. Xiaomi has promised that it will make about a million units of this device available before the end of March.
