Huawei’s more affordable daughter brand – Honor – just launched their newest Honor Tab 5 in China.
Honor’s Tab 5 is a device specifically designed for audio and video entertainment. It uses a symmetrical dual speakers setup to create a stereo sound effect and it’s been combined with Dolby Atmos panoramic sound technology to create a more full and immersive experience when watching movies.
According to the official report, the Honor Tab 5 is indeed equipped with dual Smart PA audio chips, which can sense the status of the two speakers in real time and intelligently adjust the amplitude of the speakers to greatly improve sound levels. This technology will also bring more rich bass and better sound quality, the sound will feel cleaner and fuller.
Aside from the great – on paper – speaker setup, the Tab 5 comes with an 8.0-inch display with a resolution of 1920×1200. It is equipped with a Huawei Kirin 710 processor, it has a front-facing 8MP selfie snapper and same resolution for the rear camera. Meanwhile the battery has a capacity of 5100mAh.

In addition to that, the Honor Tab 5 is also equipped with GPU Turbo 2.0 technology, which can greatly improve the graphics performance of the GPU and bring a stable high frame rate while gaming.

The Honor Tab 5 will go on sale officially on March 12th, starting at 1099 Yuan ($160) for the WiFi 3GB+32GB, 1299 Yuan ($190) for the 4GB+64GB variant. Finally at 1399 Yuan ($200) and 1499 Yuan ($220) for the respective models sporting 4G connectivity.
