Today, OPPO‘s Vice President, Shen Yiren, questioned the significance of the existence of DxOMark. According to his Weibo post, he believes that the imaging standard does not need to be adjusted to fit a particular standard for scoring. Shen Yiren said: “Do you really need DXO? Is it necessary to adjust all cameras according to a standard?… I don’t think I understand it, the scoring agency may have a need, but the reason for taking such a strong subjective feeling is not explainable…Just like self-portrait beauty, is it right to use a particular beautify pattern for everyone?”
Gizchina News of the week
DxOMark is a well-known authoritative camera evaluation agency abroad, and DxOMark’s rating list is recognized worldwide. Any mobile phone that can get a spot on DxOMark rating list is undoubtedly a leader in mobile phone photography. At present, Chinese mobile phone manufacturers known for sending their devices for DxO scores, sometimes shortly before the phone is released. Meizu, Huawei, vivo, Smartisan, and so on all do this. The ideas of Oppo’s VP is not really surprising because the company has always been uninterested in DxO scores.
So we should get rid of standards then according to his argument.
