Popularity of the phones with huge screens is on the rise not just in Asia, but worldwide and the same can be said for the decent waterdrop notch design. The upcoming CUBOT Max 2 is mixing these two perks quite well, but comes with its own twist, because it seems to be the first one in the world to place the waterdrop notch in the upper right corner of the display. Hard to say yet if it’s just a gimmick or a good solution, but nonetheless interesting choice.
Gizchina News of the week
CUBOT Max 2 is really a beast with huge 6,8-inch IPS display with 19:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Inside we can find octa-core Helio P22 processor, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB of internal storage, dual rear cameras 12MP+2MP with Sony IMX486 as the main sensor with 6P lens, 13MP selfie shooter with 4P lens, 5000 mAh battery capacity with 5V/2A fast charging through the USB Type-C port, NFC chip and the Android 9 Pie as the system. The phone is trying to keep things slim despite the big battery and should be only 8.9mm thick.
So far we have no idea about the pricing of the phone or the actual release date. But we can expect the price not to be sky high, because CUBOT is well known for always producing the affordable models.
