In response to rumors that Huawei will not enter the TV market, Yu Chengdong was very clear. “Huawei will not do traditional TVs” he said. “The traditional TV experience is very bad and many people in the first-tier cities do not use conventional TVs”. However, Huawei will explore the large screens especially when it comes with AI functions. Currently, the company is discussing with partners and it could possibly release a product this year.

However, the protagonist of Huawei’s conference is the HiLink Internet standard, with the goal of achieving one-third of China’s IoT device support within three years. In addition, Huawei already has the Huawei’s smart selection product line covering many home appliances and small appliances. This selection also includes many appliances from Huawei’s partners.
