Huawei “dumps” BOE & LG for Samsung’s AMOLED display

South Korean manufacturer, Samsung is the leading company in the AMOLED display industry. However, there are other companies like BOE, LG and even Sharp which are pulling some strings in the market.  Huawei’s latest flagship, Huawei Mate 20 Pro, used BOE and LG displays. Nevertheless, current information suggests that the  Huawei P30 series will use Samsung AMOLED display on a large scale. In addition,  Huawei may restrict its P and Mate series to AMOLED displays in the future. Of course, in terms of device selection and supplier screening, Huawei considers factors such as quality, supply, price, etc. The report claims that Samsung has impressed Huawei with great sincerity.

The Huawei P30 uses a 6.1-inch OLED waterdrop screen with a resolution of 2340×1080. It comes with a Kirin 980 processor and also uses 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. A 32MP front camera, 3650 mAh battery, and Android 9 system are other features of the P30. As for the Huawei P30 Pro, it has a 6.47-inch 1080P curved waterdrop display. It comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 512GB storage (top version). It also uses a 32MP selfie camera and its 4200 mAh battery supports the 40W super fast charge. Other features include Android 9 Pie, IP68 dustproof/waterproof, quad rear camera with 10x zoom and ToF lens.
