The newest sub-brand to hit the hyper-competitive Chinese smartphone market this year is Vivo’s iQOO. The subsidiary landed with a bang and an offering with no name. Well, at least we know that it’s called iQOO, but that’s it. Now, the latest info is that the sub-brand may debut in India as early as May or June. The exclusive report comes from 91mobiles which cites a Vivo executive who wished to keep himself anonymous.

The report from the publication also states that iQOO will launch another gaming handset later this year to compete with OnePlus in the Indian market. That will make it two launches in the span of six months. The sub-brand’s first offering in China is a competitively priced gaming device even though the company doesn’t call it that. In India, the company will be targeting the Rs 30k -Rs 60k premium segment which is where budget flagships like OnePlus 6T thrive.
The iQOO smartphone comes with 6.41-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC and a whopping 44W fast charge. It also has gaming-centric features such as Super Liquid cooling, AI Turbo, Center Turbo, Net Turbo, and Cooling Turbo. For more about the specifications of the Vivo iQOO, check out the article here.
