Chinese smartphone maker VIVO without much fuss has unveiled a new VIVO S1 Smartphone in China. The device which was earlier expected to launch alongside the X27 and X27 PRO is the very first member of the new VIVO series and appears to be a rebadged VIVO V15 for China. The device is priced at 2,298 Yuan/$342 and will be hitting the shelves on April 1 in two color variants – Ice Lake Blue and Pet Pink, although you can already pre-order the device from the official website of Vivo China.

The VIVO S1 comes fitted with a 6.5” with Full HD+ that covers entirely the front of the device with only a slight bezel on the chin thanks to the pop-up camera system that carries a 24.8-megapixel selfie shooter. The S1 offers a screen-to-body ratio of 90.95 percent and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9., and on the rear side, the device gets a capacitive fingerprint scanner, as well as a triple camera setup, comprising of a 12 MP regular + 8 MP ultra wide angle + 5 MP depth sensor. Part of the camera package is the AI beauty function which can supposedly identity 103 basic facial features for capturing selfie shots, as well as a Body Camera feature onboard that can automatically adjust the body proportions while shooting photos and videos.
Under the hood, the VIVO S1 gets a MediaTek Helio P70 processor coupled with Game Turbo, 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage and expandable memory via micro sd card slot, while it is powered by a 3940mAh battery with dual-engine fast charging support, and will boot Funtouch OS 9 based on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.
