On March 19, Stone Technology officially launched a new sweeping robot, namely the Roborock Sweep T6. In comparison to the second-gen Roborock Sweep One, it comes with improved quality assurance and noise reduction. Today, it went on pre-sale, at a price tag of 2599 yuan ($386).
The Roborock Sweep T6 comes with four highlights, namely ‘strict selection of well-known components that bring a warranty of 2 years’, ‘new mapping 3.0’, ‘new noise reduction design’, and ‘new sweeping experience’.
With the launch of the Sweep T6, the company breaks the industry stereotypes of the warranty period.
The Roborock Sweep T6 uses the flagship chip R16 of the ALLWINNER series. The TI digital signal processor is from Texas Instruments, and the MCU microprocessor comes from ST STMicroelectronics.
As the ‘eye’ of the sweeping robot, the LDS navigation system of the Sweep T6 is upgraded to a new generation of laser mapping algorithm, which brings faster, more stable and more accurate mapping capabilities, and automatically recognizes the rooms.

In addition, the new upgraded Rock Navigation path planning of the Roborock Sweep T6 is smarter than the previous generation. Based on the principle of long-edge priority and the principle of proximity, the Sweep T6 sweeps faster in narrow areas, does not go far, does not take the road, and improves cleaning efficiency by 20%.
Thanks to the abovementioned two software upgrades, the Map Management 3.0 system of the Roborock Sweep T6 can accurately remember the user’s home map after the first cleaning is completed, providing users with more personalized cleaning operations, supporting cleaning selection, and zone cleaning. You can also set the virtual wall for the restricted areas.
The selection has been redesigned and optimized by the five noise reduction units to achieve low noise under high suction. With the new 30.5mm motor, the speed is reduced compared to the previous generation, which reduces operating noise.
