In a context of increasingly fierce competition and exponential growth of technologies, an important statement comes from the CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun. The founder, in an interview dedicated to the growth of the research and development sector, has announced that Xiaomi intends to be the first 5G smartphone manufacturer in China.
The smartphone market in the last year has experienced a period of decline, in which only a few companies have managed to come out “stronger than before”. The reference is directed to its rival Huawei who, with Xiaomi and a few other companies (Samsung and Apple) shares almost the entire mobile phone device market.

Thus Lei Jun’s announcement sounds like a challenge to rival companies, a provocation launched with full knowledge – in our opinion – since Xiaomi was the first company to present a 5G smartphone in Europe, that is the new variant of Xiaomi Mi MIX 3. The intent, clearly, will be to bring the new network standard on most of the devices to ensure that the new technology is accessible to everyone in the shortest possible time: the challenge is launched and we just have to wait.
