OPPOs Reno phone with a weird look swivel pop-up camera is still on the Horizon, but a design patent granted to the Chinese firm suggest the company already forward looks as it is considering another phone with a slider design which looks quite different from the Find X.
Gizchina News of the week
The idea behind the design is for a truly bezel-free phone with no notch or whatsoever. While the OPPO Find X had everything about its cameras hidden insider the slide-out system, the new design envisages a slider smartphone with dual rear cameras vertically aligned to the next in a conventional manner – always exposed, while the dual front camera will be concealed in the slider behind the display. The design doesn’t envisage a rear fingerprint scanner – an indication that it might get the in-display scanner, a Face Unlock, or perhaps a combo of the two biometric authentications.
Of course, final devices don’t always look like their original concepts, and doesn’t also mean the next phone from OPPO will come with this design, however, given the company’s track record, it won’t be long before we see an OPPO phone with the design.
