Could this be Motorola’s first triple-camera smartphone?

Lenovo owned Motorola is already said to have a new phone powered by Samsung Exynos SoC, the rumored Motorola One Vision in the works, but now it looks like there might be a second device that could be joining that. First shared by tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer in partnership with Pricebaba, the device is tipped to be the company’s second phone to come with a hole-punch display, only if the Motorola One Vision launches before it.

Speaking of the One Vision, the leaked Motorola phone as portrayed by the renders below looks a whole lot like the rumored Motorola One Vision, making us think this could be a variant of the rumored One Vision. First off, the device is said to feature the similar extra-tall 6.2-inch LCD display with a cut-out for the front camera on the left, with slim bezels, and a reduced chin which is home to the Motorola branding. The similarities also extend to the flipside, but rather than a dual camera setup, the latest render suggest the Motorola phone will get a triple camera setup coupled with a Motorola logo in the middle which doubles as a fingerprint scanner.

Gizchina News of the week

While the One Vision is tipped to come with a 48-megapixel camera and depth sensor combination, or source has it that the upcoming Motorola phone will get a primary 12-megapixel camera paired with another 12-megapixel sensor that may boast a telephoto lens, as well as a third 12-megapixel resolution camera whose functionality hasn’t been disclosed. It is expected to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 mobile platform (11nm process, the first Kryo 460 architecture, eight core, Adreno 612 GPU), with 6GB of memory +64/128GB storage.

The device as per our source will arrive as the Moto G8, the sequel to the Moto G7, a claim which we doubt, given that it is admittedly too early to start seeing render and leaks of the G8 since the G7 has barely only settled in the shelves. It is based on the foregoing and the stack similarities with the Motorola One Vision that we assume this could be a variant of the one Vision, perhaps a more premium variant.
