Samsung earlier last month sent out invites for a product launch on April 10 at an unknown location. The official teaser suggests the event is a Galaxy event, though there is no indication as to what it might launch on the said date. Well, it seems like we might have finally unearthed what the Korean firm will be unveiling, come April 10.
Although there have been speculations the Galaxy A90/A80 will be part of the announcement, reports flying around say the event will hold simultaneously in Bangkok, Milan, and Sao Paulo, and will see the launch of the Galaxy A70, Galaxy A40, while the Galaxy A90/A80 is tipped to be the star of the event.
Samsung in the last few months has been rolling out devices with different display options ranging from the Infinity V to the Infinity U type of Display. The firm at a launch event last month released the Galaxy S10 with a hole-punch cutout in the display to house the selfie camera, while it also made headlines with the Galaxy Fold with a folding display. While Samsung has also introduced the Infinity V and the U display to the A series, the firm is rumored to be taking it a notch further with the rumored Galaxy A90
Gizchina News of the week
The Galaxy A90 rather than employ either of the Infinity, u, V and Infinity O display, will be adopting a very unique rear top sliding mechanism similar to some devices from out of China with Pop up camera, though the implementation is a bit different from what we have seen from China. A concept video of the A90 pop up/sliding camera mechanism can be found here. The mechanism will allow the triple camera setup with a 48MP f/2.0 main, 8MP f/2.4 ultra wide and ToF sensors serve both for selfie and normal shoots.
More information about the A90’s availability and pricing will be revealed on the launch date..
