Samsung has unveiled a couple of new A series phones today, and while we had thought the Korean will release the Galaxy A90, the company instead announced the Galaxy A80, still with similar specs including a pop-up rotating camera. Well, the Galaxy A80 isn’t the only kid that just got announced; the company has also quietly announced the rumored Galaxy A20e in Poland.
The Galaxy A20e as expected isn’t as interesting as the A80 and its older siblings, instead, Samsung has released the A20e as a watered-down variant of the Galaxy A20 which was announced back in March. The device still retains some of the selling features of the new Galaxy A smartphones, but with a few compromises here and there.
Gizchina News of the week
Much like the A20, the A20e rear has a plasticy feel to it and Samsung calls it “Glasstic” design hinting that it’s a combination of plastic and glass. The display is now more compact at 5.8” LCD display with 720 x 1,560px resolutions. It has the Infinity V notch which is home to an 8mp selfie cam.
On the flip side, the device gets a dual rear camera consisting of a 13MP main shooter with f/1.9 aperture and a 5MP secondary wide-angle lens with the usual fingerprint scanner. It is powered by the Exynos 7884 chipset with same 3GB RAM and 32GB storage which can be expanded up to 512GB using microSD card. The device due to its smaller footprint gets a 3000mAh battery with 1 5W fast charge so as to allow for shorter charging time. It boots Android 9 out of the box and will hit the shelves at a later day in n Black and White options only.
