Samsung Galaxy J6 receive Android 9.0 Pie update

Galaxy J6

After having deployed the Android 9.0 Pie update for the Galaxy J8 a few days ago, Samsung is now giving the same treatment to the smaller Samsung Galaxy J6. Through a new OTA update, users of this cheap handset will get a taste of Android’s latest flavor with Samsung’s brand new One UI running atop.

The update came bearing the J600FNXXU3BSD1 serial and is being delivered first in Italy. The referred update weighs in at 1.2GB, and unfortunately, still carries the March Security patch, unlike the Galaxy J8 which update includes the April’s patch. Despite this shortcoming, users of the Galaxy J6 will still be able to enjoy all the benefits of One UI update including the Dark Mode, New Navigation Buttons and all the goodies introduced with the new interface.

Furthermore, you’ll be able to enjoy all the features introduced by Android Pie, including Adaptive Battery, Digital Wellbeing and more control over your notifications. The update is currently also being pushed out in Brazilian under the R765AUCU2DSA1 name and should continue to appear in more markets in the coming days.
