OPPO showcases 5G version of Oppo Reno – downloaded 1GB in 6 secs


Recently, OPPO exhibited the OPPO Reno 5G version. The company implemented a number of 5G applications including ultra-high-speed connectivity and 5G cloud gaming using China Unicom’s 5G network. In the exhibition, OPPO Reno 5G version successfully achieved a connection speed of over 1300Mbps and downloaded a 1GB movie in about 6 seconds. At the same time, OPPO Reno 5G version achieves ultra-high speed connection and on-site users can get started without delay. For example, when watching HD video, users can drag the online video to play at any time and there is no need to wait for the network to load or buffer video content.

In addition, the high throughput and low latency of 5G technology also refresh the gaming experience. At the scene, OPPO Reno 5G version can directly load large-scale mobile games such as King of Glory in the cloud through the 5G network without downloading the game. It achieves high-speed transmission and ultra-low latency smooth gaming experience.

At the MWC 2019 conference in Barcelona, OPPO demonstrated its first 5G mobile phone which solves many challenges in antenna design, baseband, RF, power consumption, etc., and has complete 5G communication capabilities. At the OPPO Reno launch conference, OPPO CEO, Chen Mingyong, also announced the official launch of OPPO 5G Spark Program, which will invest 10 billion yuan  (∼$1.5 billion) in research and development around five new technologies such as 5G.
