After the end of February presentation at the largest world mobile technology fair – MWC Barcelona, the latest NOA rugged phone is now available on the market. This smartphone is ideal for those who want a resilient and elegant device. Meant for extreme conditions, various work sites, and offroad adventures. Its first users will be members of the HGSS – Croatian Mountain Rescue Service.
The main characteristics of the NOA Hummer 2019 device are shock, pressure, water, and scratch resistance, as per the IP68 and MIL-STD-810G standards. They ensure that the device can be exposed to demanding conditions, and can be carried without concern, whether the user does extreme sports, goes on a wilderness journey, hikes or simply needs a mobile phone that can withstand frequent drops.
This smartphone enables photography in the rain and snow, and the most well know military standard MIL-STD-810G ensures that the device is completely immune to dust.
Although it may come from the rugged series of devices, Hummer 2019 exudes elegance and style. The metal frame that combines brushed aluminum surfaces with rubber ones give the device an anti-slip and durable exterior, that can be firmly grasped even when wet.
It is run by a four-core processor MTK6739, paired with 3 GB RAM and 16 GBof storage, upgradeable to 128 GB via a Micro SD card. It has a 3.800 fast charge mAh battery, rechargeable via a USB-C connector.
With the help of an NFC reader, the device can communicate with other NFC compatible devices and use them for different purposes, from simple identification to virtual wallet implementation.
The double back camera has a 13+2 MP resolution, while the front camera is in 8 MP. Hummer 2019 has a 5.5” screen in HD+ 720×1440 pixels. The screen is protected with Gorilla glass and is scratch and damage resistant.
The device uses Android 8.1 OS and has GPS and AGPS navigational systems. The price of this smartphone is 189 euro.
