Redmi Y3 with a 32MP front camera to arrive in India on April 24th


Today, the official Xiaomi India Twitter handle announced that the company will hold a new launch conference on April 24th where it will officially unveil a new device in the Redmi Y series, Redmi Y3. The Y series is focused on its selfie camera and the previous generation (Redmi Y2) came with a 16Mp front camera. This upcoming smaartphone is equipped with a 32MP front camera which makes it the first smartphone in the Redmi lineup to use a 32MP front camera sensor.

Manu Kumar Jain, the head of Xiaomi’s India operations, also announced this launch on Twitter. From his tweet, he was quite confident that the Redmi Y3 will deliver an incredible self-portrait. In addition, it adopts the waterdrop display design. This design is quickly becoming a norm with the Redmi series as the Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi 7 all come with a waterdrop display.

Unfortunately, the hardware specifications of Redmi Y3 are not yet known. Unconfirmed reports have it that this device may come with a 4000 mAh battery and it will run on MIUI 10 system based on Android 9 Pie depth customization. As for the processor model, considering that the Redmi Y2 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625, the new generation Y3 may be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 mobile platform.
