A new ASUS smartphone, presumably the new top-of-the-range ZenFone 6 or its 6Z variant, has recently obtained certification from the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) in view of the scheduled launch on May 16th.
The new flagship device of the Taiwanese manufacturer, identified with the model number ASUS_I01WD, has already appeared in the recent weeks in the database of two popular benchmark platforms such as AnTuTu and Geekbench, providing interesting information on its technical equipment. As already happened in the past years, ZenFone 6 will most likely not be a single model, but a whole family of new devices.
Gizchina News of the week
One month is left to the aforementioned presentation event, which is scheduled in Valencia, Spain on May 16th, new information has arrived on ZenFone 6/6Z from the FCC certification. The documentation actually, as you can see from the images below, does not confirm or deny the rumors of the past weeks about the main technical specifications of this new smartphone.
However, there is an indication that relates to the speed of charging supported: the smartphone will not go beyond 18 W. In the year in which numerous Android smartphones came to offer charging systems from 22.5 W to rise, it seems that the Taiwanese manufacturer has not made progress, confirming the top-up speed of the current ZenFone 5Z.
ASUS ZenFone 6, as repeatedly reported, will be able to count on the latest high-end SoC from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 855 that we will find on many Android flagships during the year.
